Lightcast offers free API access to our Skills and Titles APIs.

What is included with free API access?

• Access to every skill (33,000+) and job title (75,000+) in the Lightcast Open Skills Library
• Skill Names, unique machine-readable IDs, and types (Specialized skills, common skills, certifications)
• Categories and subcategories for each skill
• Autocomplete search
• Limited access to skill extraction
• Explore each taxonomy directly and see how and when they're updated

How to Sign Up

1. Fill out the form here!
2. Complete the registration form, and you will receive an email from “@lightcast.io” prompting you to verify your address.

3. Once verified, you’ll receive a follow-up email containing your API credentials and instructions for next steps.

4. Once you have credentials there are multiple ways to explore our APIs.
   • The Postman client is a popular option. You can find our library of sample API calls here.
   • We have an interactive API Reference portal as well.
