Description

This dataset shows national economic and demographic indicators for countries with data from The World Factbook published by the CIA. Data is available at the nation level only (using ISO-2 codes).

Metrics

  • Population: Population compares estimates from statistics from population censuses, vital statistics registration systems, or sample surveys pertaining to the recent past and on assumptions about future trends.

  • IndustrialProductionGrowthRate: Industrial production growth rate compares the annual percentage increase in industrial production (includes manufacturing, mining, and construction).

  • InternetUsers: Internet users compares the number of users within a country that access the Internet. Statistics vary from country to country and may include users who access the Internet at least several times a week to those who access it only once within a period of several months.

  • LaborForce: Labor force compares the total number of employed individuals.

  • MedianAge: Median age of total population.

  • GdpGrowthRate: GDP - real growth rate compares GDP growth on an annual basis adjusted for inflation and expressed as a percent.

  • GdpPerCapita: GDP - per capita (PPP) compares GDP on a purchasing power parity basis divided by population as of 1 July for the same year.

  • GdpPurchasingPower: GDP (purchasing power parity) compares the gross domestic product (GDP) or value of all final goods and services produced within a nation in a given year. A nation's GDP at purchasing power parity (PPP) exchange rates is the sum value of all goods and services produced in the country valued at prices prevailing in the United States.

  • Unemployment: Unemployement rate compares the percent of the labor force that is without jobs.
