Description

This dataset contains the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) as well as those who claim Universal Credit and are required to seek work and be available for work. This is the headline indicator of the number of people claiming benefits principally for the reason of being unemployed. Emsi updates Claimant Counts every month with the latest data available. Data is available for the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).
